Microschool Founder
Alison Rini has been a teacher and school leader for 20+ years, with three degrees from Columbia University in Neuroscience, Curriculum, and School Leadership. Alison has led public and charter schools for a decade, and she is committed to bringing together the best practices from across the educational spectrum including Montessori, movement, and mastery learning. She designed Star Lab - a low-cost, private microschool - to maximize student achievement and joy, using research-based practices aligned to the science of learning and motivation. Star Lab is in its second year of operations, serving students in kindergarten through 3rd grade in the Newtown neighborhood, and will continue to grow through 5th grade.
