Microschool Founder

Christie is a mother of six and has been an educator since 2009. Education, particularly home education, has always been a central priority for her. She spent many years teaching in the public school system before expanding into online education through her private business during the pandemic. During that time, Christie worked with families at no cost, committed to ensuring that students received the support they needed to adapt to rapid changes in education. Her work has since grown to serve students around the world. Christie is deeply inspired by the Hawaiian concept of 'Ohana,' which emphasizes the importance of family. She believes that people flourish when they are supported and loved by their 'Ohana,' in whatever form it takes.

Ms. Christie McAlister is one of the most dedicated, passionate people I have ever met who takes the time to not only recognize each child and their own needs but makes an effort to find what works for them!

Whether you homeschool and need extra support, tutoring or even a club it’s a great place to build a real ohana. We are transitioning from homeschooling to fully emerging into the program! Each teacher makes sure that each child not only understands what is being taught but offers one one support later to be utilized! Whether you live USA or even England or china her support you can count on!

She also helps adults with language or going back to school ! Education is important with her program it just makes sense to have this has an extra tool!

Thank you all you amazing staff as well !

Ms Christie is a gem of a human. My son has been struggling for YEARS in traditional public school, and one night I decided to check out various micro academies, at the recommention of our Developmental Pediatrician, and out of total desperation and hopelessness. Within 24 hours, Ms. Christie reached out to me, and we had a discussion at length about his challenges and needs. I didnt have to talk to a salesperson or a rep, she connected with me personally, and we shared many stories. I just loved the “Ohana” concept, but was certainly skeptical. Aloha Micro Academy, Ms. Christie, and the rest of the staff (Mr Nick, Ms. Nisha, etc) have FAR surpassed my hopes and expectations for my soon to be 6th grader, and in such a short time! My mama heart is finally at peace, knowing that my son is SUCCEEDING at school, it’s not a fight every day to get work done, grades have gone WAY up, and the ongoing support and communication is just exceptional. This school exemplifies what the educational experience is SUPPOSED to be like. 100/10. we have truly found our Ohana ❤️❤️❤️
