Brittany Alice is the founder of Cairn & Compass Academy, a small, relationship-centered learning pod built on the belief that children thrive when they are deeply known and trusted. After five years of homeschooling her own children and teaching in local homeschool co-ops, she became passionate about creating a calmer, more human-scale alternative to traditional schooling. Her work is especially shaped by a heart for neurodivergent learners and families seeking environments where curiosity, autonomy, and emotional safety are prioritized.
As both a mother and a builder of intentional communities, Brittany brings lived experience and thoughtful design to her work. She draws inspiration from self-directed learning models and small learning communities that place relationships at the center of growth. Through Cairn & Compass, she is creating a place that feels more like a gathering space than a classroom, where wonder is protected, children are respected as capable individuals, and families can find a steady, supportive learning home.
