Dr. Boykins is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master’s degree in Mild to Moderate Disabilities (K–12), and a doctoral-level degree in Behavior Analysis. She currently serve as a district-level Behavior Analyst/Specialist, where she support and oversee approximately 40 special education personnel. Her work focuses on implementing evidence-based behavioral practices, coaching educators, and creating learning environments that allow students with behavioral challenges to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes that behavior is a skill that can be taught without sacrificing academic growth. Her goal is to offer a different path that supports behavioral growth, honors how boys learn, and ensures students leave with the confidence, self-control, and academic foundation needed to thrive. She beilieves that students with behavioral challenges do not need less education. They need more intentional support. They deserve environments that address behavior without sacrificing academics, where regulation skills are taught alongside reading, math, and critical thinking. They need adults who understand that behavior is communication and that growth happens through consistency, relationships, and developmentally appropriate expectations...not exclusion.
