Happy Hens Farm & Forest School
Our school is a Reggio Emilia-inspired farm and forest experience, where kids get to learn in an off-grid yurt classroom on a working 11-acre poultry and dairy goat farm. We combine strong, developmentally appropriate academics with plenty of time outdoors, giving kids the chance to explore, create, and connect with nature. As you look to find a microschool in Hillsborough for grades K-5 that meets your family’s needs, we encourage you to reach out to us!
With mixed-age groups (K-2 and 3-5), students will build meaningful relationships while learning through hands-on experiences like caring for goats and chickens, gardening, baking, cooking, archery, and rock climbing. Our teachers are highly trained and continuously growing through ongoing professional development to best support their students. We blend rigorous, developmentally appropriate academics with meaningful time outdoors, ensuring a well-rounded education that nurtures both mind and body.
