Maggie Van Camp, PhD is an educator in New Hampshire with a wealth of experience in early childhood education. She holds a PhD in Education from Lesley University, where her research focused on play, executive functioning, and the role of the family in child development. Dr. Van Camp’s passion for play, storytelling and emergent curriculum has led her to a successful career in both academia as a researcher and teaching, where she has contributed to advancing knowledge and practice in her field. Over the years, she has built a reputation as a professor, researcher and educational consultant, recognized for her curriculum development, coaching and research on children’s wellbeing. She has worked with Boston Public Schools, Boston College, Bunker Hill Community College, Boston Area Reggio Inspired Network, and Project Zero, sharing her expertise and training the next generation of early childhood professionals and students. Outside of her professional career, she is passionate about healthy living, organic farming and homesteading. Maggie’s Happy Hens Farm and Forest School is the perfect fusion of early childhood education and homesteading. Maggie lives the happy farm life with her husband, six children, goats, bees and chickens where she enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in skiing, hiking, beekeeping and gardening.
