Microschool Founder

Dr. Nordia Hewitt and TeQoa Griffith are visionary leaders united by a shared commitment to excellence, purpose, and the transformative power of education and creativity. Dr. Nordia Hewitt is an accomplished educational leader, literacy expert, and multi-subject curriculum specialist dedicated to helping students and schools thrive. With extensive experience leading K–12 academic initiatives across English Language Arts, humanities, and cross-content instructional systems, she designs rigorous, joyful, and aligned learning experiences that elevate both scholars and educators. Her philosophy centers on caring for the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—creating environments where students feel safe, seen, and valued while building confidence across reading, math, science, and beyond. TeQoa Griffith brings both educational leadership and creative vision to this partnership. She worked in private education for six years as a Guidance Counselor and High School Supervisor, supporting students academically, emotionally, and socially during some of their most formative years. Her experience in student advocacy, family engagement, and school culture development equips her with a deep understanding of adolescent growth, accountability, and leadership development. In addition to her work in education, TeQoa is a professional photographer and former Navy service member whose work is rooted in discipline, excellence, and heart. As a studio owner and visual storyteller, she is passionate about helping individuals and families see themselves through a lens of confidence and purpose. A devoted wife and mother of five, she brings warmth, structure, and authenticity into every space she enters—whether mentoring students, guiding families, or capturing moments that tell powerful stories. Together, they are the driving force behind The Dream Academy of Connecticut, an innovative microschool model grounded in personalized learning, strong family partnerships, and intentional academic excellence. Their partnership blends strategic educational leadership with creative vision—bridging scholarship and storytelling, structure and soul. Whether designing curriculum, developing leaders, mentoring families, or cultivating spaces for growth, Dr. Hewitt and TeQoa are united by one mission: to develop confident scholars, empowered families, and thriving communities—academically, emotionally, and creatively.
