Dr. Ny G., a Portland native raised in a military family, is a former U.S. Army Officer who earned acceptance into the JAG Corps before transitioning into her life’s work in education and leadership. After relocating to Mississippi in 2015 with her husband and daughters, she continued to pursue her passion for impact—also fulfilling a lifelong dream through her work in gospel music. She later earned a doctoral degree in law and policy, equipping her with a strong foundation to influence both educational practice and systems of learning.
Her journey as a mother became the catalyst for her mission. After her daughter was diagnosed with multiple learning differences, including dyslexia and auditory processing disorder, Dr. Ny G. began developing approaches that helped her child regain confidence and achieve academic success. Through both personal experience and research, she discovered that a strong sense of belonging is the key to student achievement. Today, as a school founder, she is committed to creating structured, emotionally safe learning environments where every child is seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
