Microschool Founder

iHola! My name is Iris Viruet. I am a mother of two daughters and an educator with over 22 years of experience teaching Spanish at all levels. Teaching Spanish has been more than a career it has been a lifelong commitment to helping students communicate, connect, and expand their opportunities. Throughout my years in public education, I witnessed a recurring challenge: large class sizes, limited time, and a lack of student engagement often prevented meaningful language learning. Despite students’ potential, many were left with gaps that traditional classroom settings simply could not address. I strongly believe that students learn best through active engagement, meaningful experiences, and practical application of knowledge. For this reason, my educational approach is grounded in Project-Based Learning (PBL), which encourages critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and community involvement. My passion for education and language learning has inspired me to establish a Spanish immersion microschool that provides students with meaningful, real-world learning experiences. Why? Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world, and in the United States, it opens doors to academic success, career advancement, and cultural connection. Yet too many students were missing the chance to truly learn and use the language in ways that matter. I knew there had to be a better way one that prioritizes connection, relevance, and real world application. In addition to the microschool, I offer enriched Spanish language programs for homeschoolers, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement personnel. Through immersive language instruction and hands-on learning opportunities, I strive to empower students to become confident communicators, compassionate leaders, and engaged members of their communities. My mission is to provide an educational experience characterized by excellence, cultural awareness, and academic rigor while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
